Tjaye

(Print as required)

Singer songwriter Tjaye Martin has been appearing in clubs and

cabaret since the age of fourteen constantly working on the skills

of singer, musician, writer and entertainer, so that today she is

among the very best female artistes in Britain. After many years

of touring with her own five piece and, Tjaye is as much at home

performing her self penned songs centre stage with just an

acoustic guitar, as she is singing and playing the many and varied

vocal styles that her unique voice encompasses. This was very

evident when Tjaye was invited to appear on the singer songwriter

stage at the prestigious "Americana Festival" at the Newark

showground and held a rapt audience with a full set of her own

material. The festival headliners that year being Bill Wyman and

Albert Lee. She appeared again in 2006 when the festival headliners

were "The Troggs" and is very happy to have been invited back yet

 again in 2007!

Along with her many musical talents including, guitar, bass guitar and

harmonica Tjaye is also an accomplished actress. She has appeared in

many film and television productions including, Boon,

Aufveidersen Pet, The Jimmy Cricket Show, Casualty, Jam and

Jerusalem and many others. In 1989 Tjaye was given a three months

contract to work in cabaret in a five star hotel in Abu Dhabi where she

was such a success that she remained in the Middle East, working in

such countries as Dubai, Oman, Bahrain and Syria for fourteen years

until the political situation dictated that she return to the UK where she

was immediately booked to perform her music on a cruise ship.

This was followed by a tour of eleven states of the USA where she had

a great response everywhere she went.

The one thing that everyone talks about when they have seen Tjaye

Martin's show (apart from the incredible voice) is her total commitment

and the fact that she gives 110% every performance.
